The process I used when making my one page website live was FTP, which stands for File Transfer Protocol. The first thing I did was find a free hosting website, the one I chose to use was www.byethost9.com , I then created an account with them, after my account was created I received an email which included my username, password, the host and my sites URL.
After this had been obtained I then downloaded a program called Filezilla, which is a program used for file transfer, which would help me make my one page website go live. Once the download of Filezilla was complete I opened it, and entered in my username, password, host and port number, in the specific fields provided at the top of the program.

Once this was complete and the new page had loaded I was presented with two boxes, the first box showed a list of every file on my working computer, and the second box was my web space, which once I had uploaded the appropriate files would then show what my webpage would look like. I located my index page for my one page website, and began the transfer, which once complete, appeared in box number two. I then went on to transfer all the files which I had used during the creating process for my one page website, which included all images, background etc. once all the files had been selected and transferred over, I then previewed my one page website and checked that everything was there and in working order.
The devices I used to enable my one page website was Hotmail and email, this is because in order to begin the process of making my website go live I had to access my email account and get all my information - username, password, URL and the host – which had been sent to me from my hosting website.
The software I used when making my one page website go live was Filezilla, which is a FTP, which stands for File Transfer Protocol.
